The original creditor will usually have made a number of attempts to contact you to agree a repayment plan prior to selling the debt to a specialist debt purchaser, such as ourselves. The agreement you entered into with the original lender permits them to sell on accounts in this way. After purchasing the account, we are required by law to notify you. This 'assignment letter' is typically the first letter you will receive from Acqurec Portfolio Pte Ltd. Your original creditor will usually also write to you to advise you of the sale.
